Can you believe that three simple little ingredients combined can make the most rich and decadent dessert? This White Chocolate Peanut Butter Oreo fudge requires no cooking, special ingredients, fuss or mess. It comes together quickly in one bowl in your microwave and disappears just as quickly when you set them out. I made them for a party last night and they were gone within minutes! My husband, who does not have much of a sweet tooth, took one bite and with a lit up face asked me to save us a few. Well those are gone too because we ate them for breakfast, but luckily these treats are quick and easy enough to whip up anytime.
You can increase the amounts to make more, and the measurements don’t have to be exact. The recipe below is enough to fill a small 8 inch square pan. I have a kitchen scale so I just set the bowl on it and pour in the chocolate and peanut butter. If you like more peanut butter taste, you can add more peanut butter and if you prefer a smoother less peanuty fudge, then just add some more white chocolate. It’s really that simple, you can’t mess this up.
Suggested Wine Pairings
Chocolate and peanut butter is such a classic pairing, it’s hard to believe that the perfect wine can completely put it over the top. This rich and creamy fudge begs for a rich dessert wine that compliments and accentuates the nutty flavor of the peanut butter. My favorite combinations are Tawny Port, with its soft, but rich caramel flavor, and Sauternes, which is liquid gold in its own right and just melts in your mouth along with the fudge introducing nuances of sweet honeysuckle. Some other great pairings include Ice Wine, Orange Muscat, Brachetto d’Acqui, Sherry and Madeira.
