Wine Down in Buckhead
You don’t have to travel to California for an exclusive wine tasting experience. On Saturday, March 28th, the Annual Andrews Wine Festival returns to satisfy Atlanta’s discerning wine lovers at the Andrews Entertainment District located in the heart of Buckhead. A general admission ticket, at an incredible value of $35, gives guests unlimited tastes of more than 100 different wines and a copy of the 2015 Andrews Wine Festival Tasting Book. The fun starts at 2:00 pm and continues until 6:00 pm. An additional $5 donation to The Giving Kitchen gets you a souvenir Reidel tasting glass. A non-profit organization, The Giving Kitchen was established to support chefs, restaurant owners and workers during times of unanticipated health crises by providing emergency funds to cover basic living expenses, care-related travel expenses and other expenses.
Take it Up a Notch
If you’re a serious wine enthusiast like me, upgrade your experience with a set of VIP tickets for only $75 each. The ultimate experience kicks off at 1:00 pm with a special VIP reception. In addition to tasting over 145 wines, including 45 premium wines, and light bites from Cellar 56 and Czar Ice Bar, VIP guests will have access to informative seminars like Old World vs New World, Cocktail Mixology and Wine 101. These intimate educational seminars are limited to the first 150 VIP guests and believe me, you don’t want to miss the action! As if all that isn’t exciting enough, the VIP package also includes a complimentary Reidel tasting glass, two complimentary Improv tickets, a $20 gift card to Cellar 56 or Czar Ice Bar and a donation to The Giving Kitchen. Wow!
Ask the Winemaker
The VIP experience also gives you access to winemakers and distillers. Celebrities of the wine world, like Julie Johnson of Tres Sabores Winery, Jeremy Baker of Thomas George Estates & Noble Tree, Pete & Terri Kight of Quivira & Torbreck and Master Sommelier Michael McNeill, will be on hand to answer your most burning questions about wine and the incredible wine making process. And of course, I’ll be there too!
